At Coia Comprehensive Primary Care, we value our patients time and acknowledge that our patients come first. From streamlined and timely scheduling ensuring our patients’ time is valued, to our staff’s integrity and commitment to providing excellent care and service to patients by listening to each individual’s concerns, we guarantee that our patients will leave satisfied and confident in the treatment provided. 

Serving patients from all over Rhode Island, Doctor Coia, is known for his patience, dedication and attention to detail for each particular individual case.  David Coia, DO is a family medicine physician in Rhode Island and has been practicing for 18 years.

He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine, 2004. He also completed his family medicine residency training through the Brown Family Medicine Program in Rhode Island.

Dr. Coia also has a bachelor of science in Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois.  He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Licensed in the State of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

As of June 2023, Coia Comprehensive Primary Care added a physician assistant to the practice.    Jacob Beane MSPAS, PA-C is a primary care Physician Assistant who graduated from Bryant University with his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and was also inducted into the Physician Assistant Pi Alpha National Honor’s Society.   Jacob Beane MSPAS, PA-C is a nationally certified physician assistant after passing the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination.  Jacob is currently licensed in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.  He is a Certified Medical Examiner for the National Registry Department of Transportation in RI and MA.   Jacob also graduated from URI in with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
